- 225g plain flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- Pinch of salt
- 1 teaspoon sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 30g butter, melted
- 300ml milk
- Butter for frying
American Style Breakfast Pancakes, Great weekend breakfast served with maple syrup and butter, or try frying the pancakes with blueberries or strawberries in them. Kids and adults love them… never any left overs here.
You will need a non-stick frying pan and what I do is keep it oiled between pancakes with a wipe with some oiled kitchen roll.
The simplest way of making these babies is to put all the ingredients into a blender and blitz. Pour this into a jug. Then leave the batter for approx. 20 mins
Now the cooking, pour enough mixture from the jug and remember approx. 1 min per side– watch out for the bubbling as this will tell you it’s time to turn over and cook the other side.
